When we first started, the cost of electricity was included in our prices. We found that, as they weren't paying for the electricity, our guests would be extremely wasteful.

As such, we decided to install a prepay electricity meter, meaning guests now pay for their own electricity, whilst we have installed 10 solar panels, so a large proportion of the electricity used is free.

Since moving into the villa, we have made a number of improvements to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of our heating and cooling systems.

We have replaced a number of windows, meaning the hot or cold air remain firmly in the house, reducing the amount required, whilst the new ductless AC is far more efficient than the old system.​

Whilst we don't have much plant life to speak of, there are a number of trees at the villa. We have found that wildlife is happiest when the trees are a bit scruffy, including anything that falls off of them. So, whilst we always keep the pool a patio areas clear, we try to minimise the amount of trimming and tidying we do around the trees.

The wildlife also loves our planters.

The fresh food provided in our food packages is all sourced locally, whilst everything provided in the food and drinks packages are bought locally.

We have also reduced the use of single use plastics and, where possible, we refill any plastic containers we do have.

​

Any products which we provide are also animal friendly.
